Choral Teacher - Part Time

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Choir Director to lead our school’s all-girl choir program(s). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in choral and contemporary pop music and experience in directing choirs of various skill levels. You will be responsible for selecting repertoire, conducting rehearsals, and preparing students for performances and competitions. This is a part-time position with flexible hours for teaching and extracurricular practice.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Plan and conduct regular choir rehearsals.

·       Potential teaching of academic elective and music classes.

·       Select appropriate and diverse musical repertoire.

·       Prepare and lead the choir in school concerts, events, and competitions.

·       Develop vocal techniques and musicality in choir members.

·       Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment for all students.

·       Collaborate with other music faculty and staff.

·       Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.


·       A degree in Music, Choral Conducting, or a related field is preferred.

·       Extensive knowledge of choral music and conducting techniques.

·       Proven experience in directing choirs, preferably in an educational setting.

·       Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

·       Ability to inspire and motivate students.

·       Experience leading and directing a choir.

·       Familiarity with a variety of musical genres and styles (comfortable with Classical to modern contemporary repertoire choices)
