AIM Academy is seeking a full-time Lower School teacher to support our 2nd Grade team. Responsibilities include implementing AIM’s curriculum, utilizing Lower School routines and procedures with consistency, crafting narrative comments at the end of each marking period, and developing lesson plans, homework assignments, and assessments for the following subjects: homeroom, reading, writing, math, and ideally WILSON® Reading System.AIM Lower School teachers regularly collaborate to discuss student work, share best practices, and assess student progress. In addition, teachers are expected to form and maintain positive relationships with students’ families, including regular home-school communication and attendance at family conferences. All teachers are invited to participate in a variety of robust professional development opportunities throughout the academic year.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, attending faculty meetings, ordering instructional materials and supplies, developing Back-to-School Night presentations, attending a number of AIM community after-school events, and other duties as assigned by Administration throughout the school year. AIM seeks instructors who are committed to collegiality and have high expectations for all students. The ideal candidate will have certification in Elementary/Special Education and WILSON® Reading System. Prior experience teaching students with language-based learning differences and familiarity with the Responsive Classroom approach is preferred. The Director of Annual Giving works closely with the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and other key members of the Advancement and Alumni Relations team to lead and set the strategic direction for the Mercersburg Annual Fund. Their primary responsibilities include managing a team of Annual Fund staff members, supporting Annual Fund volunteers and soliciting leadership gifts to the Annual Fund. Job Duties:Leads a team to meet Mercersburg’s Annual Fund goals. Creates, monitors, and evaluates the annual plan, as well as short- and long-term goals. Provides status reports for internal and external distribution.Directs all staff activity relating to the Mercersburg Annual Fund.Develops direct mail, social media and digital solicitation plans.Secures annual gifts through personal solicitation and pledge fulfillment outreach.Assigns potential donors to appropriate staff and volunteer solicitors.Helps manage the solicitation and outreach efforts for the William Mann Irvine Society (WMIS), the school’s annual leadership giving society.Provides direction and assistance for special programs such as phonathons, reunions, senior class gift, Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), etc.Recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who demonstrate the interest, ability and commitment to advance the Mercersburg Annual Fund including; White Key giving committee, the Giving Committee of the Alumni Council, Class Agents, and Reunion Chairs.With support from the Advancement Communications Manager, creates all marketing materials, appeal letters, online solicitations, pledge reminders, acknowledgement letters, etc.Works closely with Donor Relations to implement appropriate donor recognition programs for young alumni and leadership donors to the Mercersburg Annual Fund. Talk School is seeking a part-time reading specialist ….. Expected hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:30am-1:00pm. Training til July 23rd and position starts on September 3rd. Experience working with fundraising software programs such as Raiser’s Edge as well as experience managing EITC/OSTC tax credit programs would be preferred. Experience working with trustees and managing Board committees is also preferred.
