Lower School Teacher

YOU MUST HAVE:

Experience in early elementary education.
A Pennsylvania teaching certificate or private academic certification (may be in process; we will help qualified candidates obtain certification).
Up-to-date (less than 1 year old) clearances prior to beginning work,
including Federal Criminal History, PA State Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, Act 168, and any additional required clearances.
An appreciation of both the intellectual and the social-emotional needs of gifted children.
The ability to clearly articulate evaluations and opportunities for our students and school in both written and spoken communication.

IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF:

You have an advanced degree in education or literacy.
You have experience working with gifted children.
You have significant expertise in meeting the diverse needs of young readers, from emergent readers to precocious, self-taught bibliophiles.
You love science, art, robots, and unicorns.
You enjoy discussing the meaning of life, the universe, and everything with five-year-olds.
