Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is seeking an energetic and motivated head coach for our Girls Varsity Tennis program in 2026-27. Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy is a pluralistic Jewish day school for students in grades 6-12 that is located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. This position is responsible for, under the guidance of the Director of Athletics, the leadership of the Girls Varsity Tennis team.
Last fall (2025), our team advanced to the Friends Schools League (FSL) Semifinal and PAISAA State Tournament.
Qualifications:
Prior experience coaching competitive tennis at the high school, club, prep, or college level
Prior competitive playing experience preferred
Ability to motivate and teach student-athletes in a positive environment
Demonstrated effective coaching skills and knowledge of tennis skill development
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect
Responsibilities include:
Teach the sport of tennis
Establish a strong and positive team culture that values leadership, responsibility, and respect that aligns with JBHA’s core values
Help to mentor the upper school and middle school head and assistant coaches
Assist in the development of the middle school and upper school tennis programs
Expand the off-season tennis program
Identify potential prospective students and assist in engagement, when necessary.
Drive student-athletes to matches in team van
Effectively communicate and build relationships with players, parents, staff, and administration
Support the athletic program and student-athletes
Attend end-of-season sports awards banquet
This is a stipend position
