The Aquatics Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for Malvern Preparatory Aquatics Club (MPAC), overseeing all internal and external use of the School's aquatics facilities while ensuring the highest standards of safety, customer service, and program quality.
Working collaboratively with the MPAC Head Coach, MPAC and Malvern Prep coaching staff, Malvern Prep Summer Programs, swim clinics, facilities team, athletics department, business office, and external partners, the Aquatics Manager coordinates scheduling, staffing, communications, and day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
The Aquatics Manager serves as the primary ambassador for MPAC, fostering strong relationships with swimmers, families, coaches, and community partners while cultivating a culture rooted in hospitality, professionalism, and excellence. The position is responsible for identifying opportunities to grow participation, enhance programming, and strengthen the visibility of MPAC as an extension of the School's mission.
In partnership with School leadership, the Aquatics Manager develops operational practices that support the long-term sustainability of the aquatics program through effective facility utilization, third-party partnerships, and responsible revenue generation. Success in this role requires balancing exceptional customer experience with sound operational management while ensuring the program reflects the values, standards, and mission of Malvern Preparatory School.
Qualifications:
Experience and/or education in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field
Experience managing competitive aquatics, swim programs, or aquatic facilities.
Current Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
Ability to obtain and maintain USA Swimming credentials
Working knowledge of Hy-Tek Team Manager, Hy-Tek Meet Manager, and TeamUnify
Knowledge of USA Swimming and Middle Atlantic Swimming (MA Swimming) rules, procedures, and administrative requirements.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening hours (such as one to two days per week on a 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. schedule) to build relationships with coaches, athletes, and parents and support evening practices.
Ability to serve as a lifeguard or provide deck supervision during instructional programs when needed.
