The Grayson School seeks an experienced, thoughtful educational leader to serve as its next Head of Lower School beginning July 2027. Grayson is an independent, research-based PreK–12 school created specifically for gifted learners: children whose curiosity, intensity, imagination, and capacity call for an education designed around who they are rather than the limits of a conventional grade-level curriculum.
The next Head will inherit a Lower School with a clear identity, passionate teachers, and a strong foundation built over more than a decade. The work is strategic, and it is also unmistakably hands-on. Grayson is a small school, and its leaders are visible. The Head of Lower School knows students, coaches teachers, talks with families, solves practical problems, makes decisions, and collaborates closely with colleagues across the School. For the right leader, that breadth is part of the appeal: the role offers unusual proximity to the people, decisions, and daily life that shape a school.
