Extended Day Leader

The School is seeking a self-directed, experienced, and energetic Extended Day Program Leader in January 2027. This is a part-time position.

Extended Day is the before and after school program for Sacred Heart Academy students in Preschool (ages 3 and 4) to 5th Grade. This program includes recreational activities and scheduled homework periods.  SHA Extended Day program is held Monday through Friday from 7:30-9:00 a.m. for Preschool students and 3:30-5:30 p.m. for Preschool to 5th Grade students. The Extended Day Program Leader will supervise students and help with homework, provide snack time, and monitor outside and inside play activities.  Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and impeccable organizational skills are key.

Responsibilities  

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of Preschool through 5th Grade students during designated program hours

• Assist with homework as needed

• Provide snack time

• Monitor outside and inside play activities

• Provide First-Aid if needed

• Maintain clear communication with parents at pick-up

Qualifications

• High school diploma

• Experience working with young children in a recreational and/or educational setting required

• Demonstrated ability to connect with and make a positive impact on young people
