Position: After Care Employee
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
Location: Waldron Mercy Academy

Position Summary

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to join our Mercy After Care (MAC) team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and is committed to providing a safe, engaging, and positive environment where students can learn, play, and thrive after the school day.

Responsibilities

• Supervise elementary-aged students during the after-school program.

• Assist students with homework and educational activities.

• Plan and lead age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, and recreational activities.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming program environment.

• Enforce school and program policies while encouraging positive behavior.

• Assist with snack distribution and daily attendance procedures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Dependable, patient, and energetic with a genuine passion for working with children.

• Ability to pass all required background checks and clearances.
