Waldron Mercy Academy seeks after school employees for our Mercy After Care program. Mercy After Care is open during the school year on Monday - Friday from 3 PM - 6 PM and occasionally on in service days from 8 AM - 4 PM. Essential Functions:
Maintaining an orderly and fun atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other designated areas
Ensuring the safety of students at all times
Helping children with homework
Supervising and participating in indoor and outdoor play
Resolving behavioral and other issues
Resolving conflicts between children
Communicating effectively with children and other aftercare team members
Ability to follow and enforce school rules, policies and procedures
Requirements and Work Environment
Must love working with children
Strong ability to resolve problems and conflicts
Excellent communication skills
Frequent walking, standing, stooping
Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Works indoors and in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
