The Communications and Content Manager will manage the internal and external communication for the School. Their primary responsibility will be the creation and implementation of mission-aligned marketing content that is consistent with the vision of the School. This individual should be a proactive self-starter, a creative problem-solver, a strategic thinker, and an extremely organized, detail-oriented collaborator. Working as a part of a team, the Communications and Content Manager will bring their voice, experience, and best practices to the role, engaging community members in the ongoing branding of the School. This is a full-time twelve month position.
This person leads the School’s efforts to communicate its mission, values, programs, and impact to internal and external audiences. This position is responsible for conveying a clear and consistent institutional voice and for developing compelling content that strengthens engagement, enrollment, philanthropy, and community connection.
They serve as the School’s primary storyteller, identifying and sharing the people, experiences, and outcomes that distinguish the School. Working collaboratively across departments, they develop and manage communications, marketing initiatives, digital content, social media, publications, and other materials that advance the School’s strategic priorities.
Identify and develop stories that reflect the School’s mission, culture, programs, and community
Create written, visual, and digital content for a range of audiences and platforms.
Maintain a consistent and authentic institutional voice
Develop an editorial calendar that supports school priorities and key moments throughout the year
Help shape and implement the School’s overall marketing and communications strategy.
Ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and brand standards
Develop marketing materials that support admissions, advancement, programs, events, and institutional initiatives
Coordinate with external designers, photographers, videographers, printers, and other partners as needed
Manage regular communications with families, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, prospective families, and the broader community
Draft and edit newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, web content, publications, and other institutional materials
Support communications related to school initiatives, events, accomplishments, and emerging issues
Advise school leadership on messaging, timing, audience, and communication strategy
Oversee the School’s website content and social media presence
Create and manage engaging, timely, and mission-aligned social media content
Monitor engagement and use available data to improve content and communication strategies
Stay informed about emerging platforms, tools, and practices relevant to school communications
Partner closely with Admissions, Advancement, academic leadership, faculty, and other departments
Support major school initiatives, including campaigns, strategic-plan priorities, community events, and institutional milestones
Help organize photography, video, interviews, and other content-gathering opportunities
Take on additional communications and marketing responsibilities as institutional needs and priorities evolve
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, education, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, storytelling, content development, or a related area
Strong writing, editing, interviewing, and project-management skills
Experience managing websites, email communications, social media platforms, and digital content
Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate messages
Strong judgment, discretion, creativity, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment
Experience in an independent school, educational institution, nonprofit organization, or mission-driven setting is preferred

Position Available: Elementary Science Teacher
Beginning: August 20, 2025
St. Peter’s School is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian Preschool through Eighth Grade school, educating approximately 170 students in the center of historic Philadelphia for over 180 years. We are seeking a dynamic full-time science educator who has experience planning a hands-on, project based curriculum, is committed to academic excellence, DEIB, and engaging learners to be committed citizens of their communities. Designing, planning and implementing an integrated science curriculum, commitment to challenging students of all levels academically, and understanding the social and emotional growth and development of school aged children are paramount in this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and the motivation to work collaboratively with current teachers to build a sense of community in and outside of the classroom.
Beginning in Early Childhood and extending through Fifth Grade, this role establishes a foundation for scientific exploration, inquiry based approach to problem solving, and STEM awareness. SPS is also a United Nations Global School, establishing a link with the UNESCO program and utilizing the Seventeen UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as a part of our curriculum. Working with other science instructors, the Education Program Director, and classroom teachers, this person will engage students in STEM experiences across all grade levels, create interdisciplinary projects, share resources and develop unique and distinctive opportunities for St. Peter’s students to find a love of science and gain necessary skills to thrive in science while in secondary school and beyond. Bringing STEM content into the classrooms, developing partnerships across the city, integrating our existing project based curriculum, and showcasing the creative ability of all our students will also be important.
